Revisiting The Little Cap

I was totally surprised and excited when I got a message on facebook from a friend requesting another Little Cap.  Seems her little one is getting a little bigger!
What a great reason to get a bit of sewing time in.

The pattern is really one of my favorites.

For fun I made a rough looking hand stamped tag.

Now it's coming together

This size is still a bit big for my daughter, but she's just my favorite model!
Hope this hat finds you soon down south :)  I was so happy to sew for you.

Another Bag

This bag is made with a cotton linen blend fabric from Joann's.
Pattern is Pixie Handbag by Keyka Lou.

I'm after more of a messenger bag style for myself so I think
I will give this bag to my mom!

Fabric Button Necklace

I had some funky vintage pillow case scraps in my stash that caught my eye.
I think it's the fun color combo that grabbed my attention really.

I made some 1 1/8" covered buttons and turned them into a necklace.
The bezels were purchased from snapcrafty on etsy.
There is just so much fun inspiration on the web if you have the time to hunt!!

Beads and Leather

I've been admiring lots of jewelry online lately. In particular, "boho"
leather and bead bracelets.

I found a great video tutorial...

Ta-dah! My new bracelet :)

Cozy Cloche

Revisited the hooks...

peeked into the yarn stash

and crocheted a cozy cloche!

Pattern Nubby Brim Cloche .

My brim is a bit less flared than the one in the pattern...goofed a bit on a couple rows.
It's still a keeper nonetheless!! Just need more crochet practice (oh darn!) :)

Toddler Leggings

Worked up a pair of 4T leggings from this pattern. The fabric is Denim Jegging from the April Johnston Collection. I made one alteration to shorten the length. Next time I will make a size 3T, and shorten the inseam and crotch lengths a tad. Gonna have to make the shirt too. Great basic pieces to build up her wardrobe!!

Ruffles and Rainbows

How excited was I when she asked for a rainbow scarf? So much so I dropped everything and got started! (She's usually not into things I make)

And then her little friend started to show interest too. Oh smiling heart :)
Here it is in the making a rainbow scarf with ruffles.

Hooked on Cables

There is a Warm Up To Winter Knit Along going on over at Luvinthemommyhood. I decided to join in on the fun, picked up 2 skeins of Cascade sport weight yarn, and decided to make a hat.

Cables are a new knitting adventure for me and I'm really digging them. The pattern is a joy to knit. It's fun watching the cables and eyelets come about. I'm a little sad it's almost finished...

Done! Maybe I need another :)

Hot Head

Knit, knit, knit, slip...

A hat for him. Waiting for some fleece lining and it's ready to wear. The original band gave me some trouble so I had to go an easier route. May try again for myself. Here is the pattern.

The best part is...he likes it! Yeah.

Snowflakes

None have fallen yet this winter here so I have made do crafting up some of my own. This is a wire craft I came across on etsy and let me tell you it is addictive. Craft wire and an eensy weensy crochet hook = lots o fun!

Warmth

Loving cozy yarn in the winter. Working on fingerless gloves for the little one. They are turning out a bit on the large side, but that's ok. Found some lighter yarn for another pair. The pattern is too fun :)
